As the year ends so does my design team position
with MemoryWorks.
I enjoyed creating and working with the TeamWorks members.
I will not be updating this blog but you can find me and see what I have been creating at this blog

12-12-12

I am guessing you came here from the MemoryWorks blog.
Here is a peek inside my album.

I learned this easy, accordian-fold journaling card idea on
Just cut apart a strip of journaling cards (3 or 4) along the horizontal dividing line but do not cut the vertical lines.  Use those lines as guidelines to fold.
Adhere one end onto your page and then you can open it up and add journaling or smaller photos on the other sides.
A few more pictures to show you what I mean...

When I saw this done on the video I had one of those
"AHA, why didn't I think of that?" moments.
If you have not checked out the MemoryWorks blog yet, please do.
The TeamWorks design team has been sharing all kinds of December album inspiration.
For this project I used a Simple Stories album and the "Handmade Holiday" collection.
The sentiment is a Close To My Heart stamp from the "merry and bright" set.
Thanks for visiting!
Happy 12-12-12!

Trio of cards

I got a bit behind on posting my cards for the 30 Days, 30 Cards challenge at the MemoryWorks Studio so today I am sharing 3 cards.  You can play along too on the MemoryWorks blog.  These three cards were made with a Kraft base (from The Kraft Outlet) and stickers and papers from Simple Stories "Handmade Holiday".  Since I started with a Kraft base I am linking up with the Kraft Journal blog weekly challenge.

Back To School

I know we've been "back to school" for awhile but I realized I had not shared this banner that I made using WeRMemoryKeepers papers and chipboard stickers which were included in the MemoryWorks Express Kit.
I made all the cuts using the Cricut Artiste cartridge from Close to My Heart.
I just love the prints and colors in these papers!

"Curiosity Cards"

We are full into "back to school" mode at our home.  Today I'm sharing some card inspiration at the MemoryWorks blog.  I made these 4 x 4 cards to have at school.  You just never know when a little note is needed to brighten someone's day.

All patterned paper is from the
Authentique "Curiosity" 6 x 6 Bundle Pad.
Buttons & twine from my stash.
All stamps are from Close To My Heart.
I used my CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut out this little
file folder box to use as a note holder.

Make Me Smile

There's a new challenge at The Kraft Journal blog.  The "Make Me Smile" Challenge inspired me to create a Kraft mini-album using Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock.  To create the album I cut the 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock down the center vertically at 4 1/2.  Then I folded each piece in half and attached them back to back accordion style.  I covered the front with designer papers and coordinating stickers from the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line, then tied it off with some Twill Tying Tape in white.  The inside is filled with more Kraft Outlet goodies, like the mini-clothespin and several stained grungy tags.

Here's an overall view...
and some close-ups...

I just love the grungy tags from The Kraft Outlet.
For some more inspiration that will "Make You Smile"
visit The Kraft Journal blog.
If you like this Dear Lizzy line available through MemoryWorks,
you might want to come back tomorrow for details on a giveaway here at my blog!

Warm Wishes

I'm ending this Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line series of cards on a sweet note.
I layered some papers from the 6 x 6 pad.
Added a few stickers and some burlap string from Jody's Etsy Shop
and stamped a sentiment from
Close To My Heart "A Garden" stamp set.
Hope you enjoyed this series of cards.
I made all 10 (including the two featured on the MemoryWorks blog last Saturday)
in less than two hours.
When you have a 6 x 6 paper pad and coordinating elements right in front of you, it makes it so much easier to create.

Sweet

Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line
I used the ice cream sheet of patterned paper,
layered on a tag, a scrap and a sticker topped with a chipboard ice cream cone.
How sweet and simple is that?

Fun

Time for fun...
I sure had fun making these cards with the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan
6 x 6 pad.  The journaling block with sentiment and the strip all came from one sheet of patterned paper.
The star is a chipboard shape from the coordinating line.

More Dear Lizzy...
This one has a Neapolitan Tag with an
Ephemera Flower layered on top of it.
The "hello" sentiment is from Close To My Heart.
Here is a close up of the layered flower...
I just love those flower pieces, as simple as adding a sticker but it looks like
you created it with all those layers!

For You

Here is a card made with the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection.
The prints and colors in this line are so sweet and perfect for summertime.
Here I used an Ephemera Flower accent.
It is basically one large, layered sticker.
So easy!

Dear Lizzy

Hello!
This Saturday I am posting some card inspiration at
the MemoryWorks blog.
I was inspired by Kelly Holbrook's card to bust into my Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6 x 6 pad.
While I was add it, I created 10 cards using this paper pad and coordinating products.
I tell ya when you have those coordinating products right there the creating is easy breezy!
Here's a sneak peek of all the cards.

I'll post each cards separately throughout the week.
Ya'all come back now!
